my friday

the sun rose at about 6.15 this morning and it was beautiful.
my mum fetched me for our lunch date at about 12.30pm. we try do it every week but sometimes we get too busy. it was my treat today and we went to the market! i had a hot chocolate and a falafel wrap & my mum had a lentil burger and a carrot, pineapple & ginger squeeze. we shared a vanilla & chocolate cheese cake for dessert, and my mum had her usual chai tea. a local band played - guitar, trumpet, cello and drums, lovely mellow music to listen to while you are eating and chatting.

it's terribly windy and dry outside today. the wind picked up this afternoon and is now gusting 37km/h! there are a lot of road closures today and tomorrow for the fifa world cup. the last couple of months there have been so many disruptions to our roads and it's been driving everyone mad! it's worth all the trouble in the end, but it's so hard to go anywhere with all the traffic and rubble. on sunday it's the comrades marathon, and they'll be closing the roads for that aswell. it's decided, i'm staying at home this weekend, all warm and safe from any road rage!

tonight wayne's getting us some take out & a dvd ^_^
