my sister arrived yesterday! jess, my mum, greg & i all went along to the greek hellenic hall last night to welcome the greek team! there were so many people there, all dressed in blue & white, flags waving and lots of smiles (please excuse the blurry photo's but it was really that chaotic!). four players arrived, took pictures, signed autographs, made speeches, ate and then left. very quick but thrilling nonetheless! i got two signatures - one was from the captain himself:) it's quite exciting to see so many foreign people in our city. there are 3 days to go until the opening ceremony & first games! our office closes at 1 o'clock on friday so we can go home and watch it all.
wayne left yesterday for one whole week. his flight school has moved up to vryheid over the world cup because the airspace is very restricted & busy. wayne will be there for three weeks! even though it's only one week at a time i will still miss him terribly :(
